Bentley's Story...
Bentley is a lovely 15-inch, 31 pound tri-colored male beagle of about 6 years. He has such a beautiful face! We first met Bentley when we fostered him two years ago. He was adopted by a very nice family, but due to serious illness, they had to find another home for Bentley.

Bentley is such a good boy in every way! He is very quiet, well-behaved, gentle and loving. Bentley adores his people, but doesn’t require a lot of attention. He is happy to sit at your feet or by your side. Bentley usually sleeps on a couch, and he is used to using a doggy door. He doesn’t dig, chew, or have any annoying habits at all! Bentley is very laid back, and gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home, but does not really interact with them. He would probably be happy as an only dog. Fill out an application to meet this easy going fella and make him a part of your family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bentley, a Houston Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Houston, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
