All of our dogs are tested for heartworm, are up to date on vaccines and started on flea and tick prevention. All our cats are tested for feline leukemia, FIV and heartworm upon entry and are brought up to date on all vaccines appropriate for their age and treated for fleas and ticks. If a pet is too young to be spay/neuter at the time of adoption a voucher will be provided to cover the cost of the surgery.

We bring most of our available dogs to the PetSmart in Grandville MI on the 1st three Saturdays of each month from noon until 3 pm. If you want to see them at other times you have to send us an Email to make arrangements. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Edgar, a Newaygo Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Newaygo, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Newaygo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newaygo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newaygo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newaygo paves the way for another one to be saved.
