My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Seal is a purebred male Weimaraner. He is neutered, house-trained and crate trained. The vet says he is probably about 6 yrs old although the people he came from told us that he is 4 yrs old. He is SUPER friendly! He likes rides in the car and settles down nicely. Like most dogs, Seal loves his walks and gets very excited when he sees the leash and knows it's that time. He is gentle, dog friendly, people friendly and inquisitive about life.

Seal came to Mission Weimaraner Rescue after his owner passed away.
The friends and family were unable to keep him so he is now in a foster
home getting good care and ready for his new home. When we picked
him up, he met his foster brothers and quickly approved of them and
then hopped right in the van. Once he got to his new foster home, he
eagerly explored it upstairs and downstairs then went out to enjoy the
backyard. It was nice to see that he is completely housebroken ! He
played in the backyard a bit with his fosters brothers and after a
little while agreed it was time to relax inside with everyone. He is
not dominant with other dogs and respects the alpha male dog in the
house.

Like my other Weimaraner, Seal loves to play with toys and pillows and
enjoys wrestling with his bed before he relaxes for a nap. He likes to
be with his people and the pack so he would do well in a home where he
gets attention and isn't left home for long periods. He's fine for a
few hours and settles down nicely but Weimaraners in general don't like
to be left alone so I'd like to see him with a stay at home mom or work
from home parent. Seal knows some basic commands like sit, come, stay
and down. He still pulls a little hard on a leash but seems trainable
in this regard as he will heal for a second or two. His new family
should enjoy walking their dog since Seal really enjoys these outings.
