leyla's Story...
Hi, my name is Leyla. I just lost the only home I have ever known. When I was a puppy, some horrible boys threw me out of a car window. My mommy was standing right there on the street when it happened and she scooped me up and took me in. She has loved me and cared for me for two years, not realizing that I was becoming too big too live in the public housing complex where she lived. You see, they have a 30 lb weight limit and I am now a big girl of 70 pounds. Yesterday, the landlord threatened to kick my mommy and my sisters and brothers(human that is) out unless I was gone by the end of the day. Everyone in my housing project, all the kids and mommy's there, were crying and petting me and saying goodbye. I didn't know what was going on. All I know is that my mommy took me to a place called animal services and was taking me out of the car when a stranger walked up and started talking to my mom.
THe next thing I knew my mommy started crying like I have never seen her do and she kissed me goodbye. The new lady was also crying and she put me in her car and drove me to another place I have never been before. They are nice here, but I have to stay in a cage all day. I don't know why, because I am totally housetrained. I miss my mommy and all my brothers and sisters so much. I don't know what is going to happen to me.
I love other dogs and cats and kids. I love all people. Please help me find another home. THe lady who brought me here can't keep me , but she didn't want me to be turned into animal control. I was told that I could have died there.
A friend of the nice lady is trying to help find me a new home also. Her name is Kathy, if you want to come meet me please call her right away 305 401 4693.
