Jill's Story...
Jill was picked up as a stray very skinny and very pregnant. The shelter called us and asked if we could please take her so she would not have to deliver her babies at the shelter. One of our foster moms went and got her and that night she gave birth. Jill has been the most loving appreciative dog. She's extremely sweet and affectionate. Jill is a young dog, house broken and very high energy. She will need an owner committed to exercising her daily and continuing her obedience training. She is a sweet soul and wants to please! Jill will need a fenced in yard, not because she's a runner, but because she likes running around and playing the backyard with her owner. She has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and is ready for a forever home of her own. Her adoption fee is $200. Please go to www.rescueofhope.com to complete an online application. Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jill, a Grand Rapids American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Grand Rapids, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Grand Rapids.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Rapids already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Rapids breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Rapids paves the way for another one to be saved.
