My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

OK, all of you dog lovers out there that don’t speak up when you hear someone say they want to breed their dog, Show them a picture of Gigi, a Chinese Crested Powder Puff that was born blind due to her eyes not developing. She has been checked by an ophthalmologist who concurs that she has been blind since birth. This is most likely due to inbreeding of dogs that are just bred for money or owner’s irresponsibility. Fortunately this little 8 lb lady was picked up when found wandering in a non-residential area before she was hit by a car or eaten by coyotes. She is very adaptable to new situations, she learned her fosters home in less than a day, finds her food and water with ease, and can even climb steps to get where she wants to be. She is not able to take herself outside as yet, but when taken out she does know to do her business. She is happy to “see” you when you come home and will sit in your lap for as long as you let her. If you are the kind of person who would give this girl a few more good years (she is estimated at 10 years) please contact our rescue for an interview. Our rescue is doing a full dental, ear flush and removed a mammary growth for her… all you need to do is add love. Email us at Dog@RescueAChi.com An adoption donation will apply and she is only adoptable in San Diego area. She doesn’t need pity, she needs a loving home for the rest of her life.
