Garfield's Story...
Garfield is a male cat approximately 3 years old. He was wandering a West End neighborhood and rescued y a caring college student named Sana who had adopted from C.A.R.E. in the past. She discovered that he had been given from one neighbor to another – neither of which wanted him back when notified that he had been found. Sana is unable to keep him because she already had four cats and her parents would not be happy with another. Garfield is playful, friendly and an indoor cat who needs a nice, loving home. He gets along well with other cats as well. He is up to date on all of his medicals. Please call his foster Vittoria #288-1681 to learn more about him.

Please call CARE @ (804) 288-9797 and ask about Vittoria’s boy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Garfield, a Richmond Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
