My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Roarie is a 3 month old red brindle Pit Bull puppy that the Director of Shiba Scout Rescue took into rescue, even though she's not a Shiba Inu, after hearing her alarming story. Turns out the trainer at another Petco location was told by one of her students about a litter of Pit puppies born in the homes of one of their neighbors. The owners of the parent dogs didn't want to bother buying food for the pups once they started to eat solids and was saying things like they were going to "get rid of", "destroy", and "have them euthanized" in regards to the pups. The trainer was able to talk the owners into giving her the whole litter which may have been as young as 5-6 weeks at the time. Roarie was the last one she couldn't find a home for and was struggling herself so Beki offered to take the puppy into rescue.

Roarie, as a young puppy, is still working on potty training and crate training. She has good days and bad days with her crate as sometimes she will go in and be a quiet angel and other days she screams her little head off. She is fed her meals in the crate and given stuffed Kongs and bully sticks to make the crate positive. But we do not think an apartment would be a good choice due to her vocalizations.

Roarie is good with other dogs, people, kids-though she does still jump and puppy nip though that is improving as well, and cats.

Roarie's adoption fee is $375.00 which includes her spay, all three distemper boosters, deworming, microchip and a professional 6 week training course to be taken with her new family. Because of Roarie's breed she will not be available for adoption to anyone living in areas with breed restrictions.
