Chewie's Story...
Hi my name is Chewie ..short for Chewbacca ( apparently i make funny sounds when I’m excited) but i really would have preferred the name Princess Leia …because chewy is a boy AND am much prettier than him AND i don’t chew on anything! The vet says I’m about 4, 44 lbs and healthy. I am new to Victoria and have to admit it seems like a pretty awesome place! The cold winters of Kitimat I am not going to miss!
I’d describe myself as a happy easy going type of girl who enjoys a nice walk, but won’t cause a fuss if i don’t get it. I love a good cuddle and give the best hugs, in fact I like everyone I meet and am all smiles and wags for new people and friends alike. I could easily live with a tolerant dog or kitty , but perhaps chickens would be a bit too much temptation for me. I walk well on a leash and know all sorts of cool doggie tricks..in fact I think that you should meet me and see them all …

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chewie, a Victoria Border Collie/German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Victoria, or seeking a Border Collie/German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Victoria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Victoria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Victoria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Border Collie/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Victoria paves the way for another one to be saved.
