I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.
3/1/13 Hope was hit by a car when she was a tiny puppy, only about 8 weeks old. A good samaritan saw the accident and trook her to a vet. She had some minor injuries and recovered within a few days. During her hospital stay, one of the technicians at the vet hospital fell in love w/ her and decided to adopt her. Hope is now about 8 months old and her owner's living situation has changed, forcing her to give Hope up for adoption. Hope is a good girl who would really benefit from some formal training. She just needs to learn some basic puppy manners, such as not to 'mouth' when playing. She is sweet and playful and while she wouldn't hurt anyone intentionally, she doesn't realize her strength. Being a Husky, she is a vocal dog and will howl when she hears sirens or other similar noises. Hope is leash trained, but needs to learn not to pull - when she has on her 'jewelry' (leash) she is ready to GO! And she will pull on the leash if allowed to. Hope is housetrained and does well with other dogs. She will be spayed and up to date on vaccinations prior to going to her new home. Adopt-A-Stray was founded in Jan. 2010, by Kelley Prichard. Since then, it has grown to include a few wonderful volunteers who work very hard to help ensure that our pets are place in loving, forever homes. We are based in Alexander, AR, but we list all of our available pets in the northeast. We work with several different transporters to get our babies to their new homes in the northeast once they are adopted. The transporters we use most often are Got Orphans Transport (www.gotransporters.com) and Alpha Dog (www.alphadogtransport.com).All pets are given age appropriate vaccinations before they leave. Every pet is seen by our vet prior to transport. If you see a pet listed that interests you, please be sure to read the description thoroughly and inquire to the email address listed. Fee varies
While some of our pets are located in foster homes in New England, the majority are located here in Arkansas. We have a transport that runs each week, taking the adopted pets to their new homes in New England.
