Radio's Story...
Radio is the cutest little black Lab/Bassett mix ever. He is about 1 year old and weighs in at 35lbs. He, like most of our others, came from a horrible kill shelter and was one of the lucky ones to make it out. Radio is now in a great foster home getting the care that he needs. He is described as a little guy with a big boy attitude. Radio gets along well with the other dogs, but he is the alpha boy. This little guy is friendly, confident and fearless. Radio likes to play fetch and will chase anything that is thrown. He has an amazing sense of smell and found a rawhide bone under a foot of snow. Wow - What a boy! Radio does well on a leash and loves to go for walks. He is considered a medium energy boy who likes to cuddle up with his humans in the chair for a nap after romping in the yard. Radio is a very smart dog and has learned some basic commands, is good at recall and house trained. He has been well socialized with men, women and older children. We are not sure about the kitties, but can cat test if necessary.
Radio is neutered, heartworm negative, up to date on all vaccinations including rabies. He is micro chipped and has been kept on flea, tick and heartworm prevention. He is also crate trained. If you are interested in hearing more about this really nice and exceptionally sweet boy, please fill out an online application and request Radio in the notes section

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Radio, a Lewisville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Lewisville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Lewisville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lewisville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lewisville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lewisville paves the way for another one to be saved.
