Olivia's Story...
Olivia (originally Olive) was dumped in December at an animal shelter by a family who no longer wanted her. She is very sweet, a little shy when she first encounters something new, but very young acting and happy to be in a foster home with a bunch of Collies for friends. She has old scar tissue around her muzzle from an unknown reason (maybe she was bitten, nose through a fence?). Olivia is housebroken and has a cute rakish look with one ear up and one ear down. She is about 55# and a nice get along girl who is very people oriented. She loves to go for walks although could use a little leash training. Olivia will make a great family dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Olivia, a Trabuco Canyon Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie for sale in Trabuco Canyon, or seeking a Collie dog from a breeder in Trabuco Canyon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Trabuco Canyon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Trabuco Canyon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie breeders who help with Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Trabuco Canyon paves the way for another one to be saved.
