Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Shelby was adopted from Friendship as a pup and recently returned. She was a good girl in her former home but grew bigger than her owners thought she would and it wasn't a good fit. Shelby is a playful and active one year old. She was very loving in her home but a little too protective of the kids in the family. Shelby is living with other dogs at the prison and is fine with older kids.
Shelby is now one of Friendship's Prison Dogs. She will be trained in obedience, basic commands, manners and leash walking among other things. Shelby started her training on February 14, 2013 and will spend the next 8-12 weeks at the Grafton Correctional Facility. If you are interested in adopting Shelby, applications are now being accepted. They can be downloaded at www.friendshipapl.org or you can fill one out at the shelter. All apps must be hand delivered to Friendship. If you have any questions, please call the shelter at 440-322-4321.
