Minou's Story...
I came to AWLMC with my brother, Fluffy Nutter, because our previous owner is moving to Europe and is unable to take us along. We came to AWLMC because our previous owner is moving to Europe and is unable to take us along. We are both orange boys, one fluffy, one with stripes.I, Minou (French for cat), am a tabby and Fluffy Nutter is a Maine Coon mix. We are both sweet, affectionate boys. We have been through a lot and will need to time to feel comfortable in our new home. When you sit down I will jump in your lap to get attention. I will purr, rub up against you and roll. Fluffy Nutter loves to be brushed & petted and will purr the whole time. We are pair and need to find a new home together. We have never been apart and can’t imagine being separated. We are docile boys looking for a loving forever home. We prefer a quiet laid back home, as sudden movements or loud noises tend to startle us. Stop by the shelter today and see us!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Minou, a Gaithersburg Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Gaithersburg, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Gaithersburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gaithersburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gaithersburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gaithersburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
