Sterling Cooper's Story...
I came to AWLMC from a nice lady that networks with rescue groups. I had a home, but my family moved and did not want to take me with them. I am a handsome silver tabby. My stripes are very striking. I think I am quite handsome! I am a sweet, social boy. I love attention and will rub up against you and any other objects in my way when you walk into the room. I purr too and will run to greet you. I like to be in the middle of the action. I am curious and need to investigate anything that is new. I am young and still full of energy. I love to play and have fun! I get along with most other cats and dogs don’t bother me much either. I am a looking for a fun, active place to call my new forever home. I was born in 2012.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sterling Cooper, a Gaithersburg Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Gaithersburg, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Gaithersburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gaithersburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gaithersburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gaithersburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
