Rudy's Story...
Meet Rudy! He is a sweet boy that was pulled from Calhoun County Animal Control on March 25th. He is a terrier mix and about 30 lbs and between 2-5 years old. He is a sweet boy that likes other dogs and kids. He will chase cats if they run but ignore them if they dont. He is UTD on shots and neutered. He will be treated for heartworms as soon as his liver enzymes come down to a safe level. He would probably do better as an only pet. He has no problems sleeping in his crate. If you can give him the home he deserves, email lindsay@savinggraceanimalrescue.com. Applications can be found on our website, www.savinggraceanimalrescue.com under the Forms tab.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rudy, a Birmingham Cocker Spaniel/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Birmingham, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Birmingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Birmingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Birmingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Birmingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
