Kris Kringle (Adoption Pending's Info...
| Breed: | American Pit Bull Terrier Mix | Color: | Gray/Silver/Salt & Pepper - With White | Age: | Puppy |
| Size: | Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg) | Sex: | Male |
Just before Christmas, sweet little Kris Kringle was found abandoned to a high kill shelter by his owner, left to die after months of neglect while demodex mange ravaged his poor body. He was so hairless and swollen we could not even be absolutely sure about his breed. He was scooped up by one of our team members and rushed to the vet. After a medicated bath and a thorough exam, the right medications were prescribed and Kringle went home with one of our board members to be nursed back to health.
Now he is healthy, inside and out. His hair is growing out and now we see that he is a beautiful blue pit bull terrier!! His hair will grow out completely and he will have no lasting effects from the demodex.
Are you the right family for this handsome boy?
Rescue Group Info...
Saving The Animals Together (S.T.A.T.) is a group of animal lovers dedicated to networking and rescuing dogs and cats from our local high kill shelter. We invite you to help us save the lives of these pets on death row.
We are a foster based rescue and as such, we have no public facilities. When you are ready to meet one of our adoptable pets our volunteer staff will work with you to schedule a meet and greet in a public place that is convenient to your family as well as our staff.
Our $200 adoption fee includes vetting, including spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccinations, deworming, heartworm/lyme/ehrlichiosis test for all dogs (and treatment for any positive results) and a microchip. (Adopter is responsible to register the chip and pay any registration fees). All of our adoptable pets are current on heartworm preventative and flea/tick preventative. You will find our preliminary application on our website http://www.savingtheanimalstogether.org/#!adoptable-dogs-and-cats/c1yi2
For out-of-state adoptions there is an additional non-refundable $150 transport fee.
Upon completion of this application, a volunteer staff member will contact you for a telephone interview. If you are still interested in adopting a new family member from us, we will ask to check your references and visit you in your home to meet your family members (human, canine and feline!).
We look forward to helping you welcome the perfect new family member to your home!
