Mona Lisa's Story...
Hello! My name is Mona Lisa. I was found wandering the streets in a mean city with my kittens. START II rescued me, gave me and my kittens a warm place to stay, and made us healthy. Now that my kittens are ready for homes of their own (one already got adopted!) I'm eager to find my own furever home. I love to be around people. When I get really happy, I roll around on my back and ask for a gentle belly rub. My furever family wish list includes people who show me nothing but unconditional love, lots of fishing pole toys and stuffed mice, and plenty of wet food to keep my belly full.

Mona Lisa is current on her vaccinations, parasite-free, spayed, and tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia. You can find Mona Lisa at Petsmart located at 57 Route 23 South in Wayne, NJ. We have scheduled adoption hours on Fridays from 6 pm - 9 pm, Saturdays from 11 am - 6 pm and on Sundays from 12 am - 6 pm. For more information or to make a special appointment to adopt, please call Donna at 201-873-7533 or e-mail startkayne@gmail.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mona Lisa, a Elmwood Park Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Elmwood Park, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Elmwood Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Elmwood Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Elmwood Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Elmwood Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
