My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Farina is a four-month-old, female, Maltese-x, who comes to us from AMR. Farina was picked up as a stray – yes, people do dump cute puppies! Farina needs an experienced guardian who will treat her with love but love does not mean letting her do whatever she wants. She has already shown signs of protectiveness towards her food. It’s called resource guarding when dogs protect their food, toys, bed, or favorite spot in the house. The dog or puppy does not want to lose something valuable. The best gift to give Farina would be obedience training. The bonus is that Farina will be much happier in the long run. Farina was not meant to be someone’s pretend baby or a prima donna whose feet never touch the ground. She is a little dog who wants to enjoy the life of a happy, well-adjusted dog. A home where she is not alone more than a few hours is essential; puppies need constant supervision, exercise, training, and potty breaks, sprinkled throughout the day. She is ready to be enrolled in Obedience Training Classes. Farina has tons of puppy energy so daily walks and lots of playtime is a must. A good puppy is a tired puppy!
