My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Peyton - 7 year old male purebred Miniature Schnauzer. Peyton was rescued from an LA county shelter where he came in as a stray. He had a microchip but it wasn't registered. He spent almost a month at the shelter because of a long hold by his owner and then another hold for a rescue which did not pick him up. Peyton came in very matted and dirty we got him cleaned up and found this handsome boy under the mess. We had a dental done on Peyton and 5 teeth had to be extracted. We found after we had him for a bit that he has what's called Obsessive Complusive Disorder (ODC)... he will pace in circles when stressed or anxious. This has precluded him from finding a home. We know if you keep him busy or focused on other things like with a kong he will forget about being anxious. Exercise also helps. Other than this "quirk" he's a nice boy who is eager to please and needs a home to call his own. Peyton is approximately 16 pounds.


Our adoptions are restricted to residences of the Los Angeles, CA area. We do not ship animals nor do we do any type of long distance adoptions.
