Joe's Story...
My name is Joe.. As you can see I am a very handsome black long haired cat. I was dumped in my carrier on someone's drive way. I am now hanging out with some other fabulous felines while we wait for our forever home. Some say I am temperamental and opinionated, but yet very affectionate when I want to be. I enjoy napping beside my human or laying at their feet. I am not into a lot of cuddling, but do like to be near my people. I love treats and will come when I hear the bag shake. I am neutered and declawed, up to date on my vaccines and micro chipped. If you would like to meet my e-mail michelle@bhsva.org or call 540-586-6100.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Joe, a Bedford Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Bedford, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Bedford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bedford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bedford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bedford paves the way for another one to be saved.
