Jake is 25 lb Chihuahua/Terrier (?) mix. Life has been cruel to Jake. He was abused by humans and attacked by other dogs. He is confused and doesn't know what is expected of him. Jake gets along with other dogs but we feel he would be more relaxed as an only dog or the companion of another very mellow, small dog. Jake gets very excited when he sees his leash and loves to go for walks. He is housetrained and will whine when he needs to go out. Jake knows basic commands and is eager to please. Jake doesn't need much; a quiet space, a soft bed and an occasional scratch behind his ears. He feels really special if he goes for a walk or a car ride. Jake is a sweet dog. He needs someone to show him that he is safe and loved.
