Stanley's Story...
Stanley is a stunning front-declawed blue point Siamese male of about 3 years. His favorite place to be is next to you, particularly at bedtime. He is quite the cuddle bug! Although he appears slightly cross-eyed, this is typical of the Siamese breed and does not hinder his vision.

While our adoption contract forbids the cruel practice of declawing, which can lead to painful physical and behavioral problems in cats, we sometimes rescue cats that have already been declawed, and we are adamant about placing them in safe, indoor-only homes.

Stanley’s adoption fee of $250 is a bargain for such a young and beautiful declawed cat. You would spend much, much more to buy a kitten from a breeder and have it vetted; the declawing alone could end up costing the same amount we are asking for his entire adoption fee, which also covers his shots and a microchip in addition to his being neutered and tested FIV/FeLV negative. Stanley’s adoption fee will help us offset the cost of rescuing other cats in need, such as older cats, very shy cats, and the flood of kittens that will soon come into our system due to the number of unaltered cats contributing to pet overpopulation.

Also available for adoption is a female blue point Siamese, 18 months old, named Samantha. Like Stanley, she is front declawed and available for $250 (they are not related, but both get along with other cats). Both can be adopted together for $400, but since Samantha was found as a pregnant stray, we are waiting until her five adorable black and white kittens are fully weaned, then she will be spayed and ready to go to her forever home, with updated shots and a microchip of course. She can be reserved now with an approved adoption application and paid adoption fee.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stanley, a Bentonville Siamese cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siamese for sale in Bentonville, or seeking a Siamese cat from a breeder in Bentonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bentonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bentonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siamese breeders who help with Siamese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bentonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
