My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! My name is Jolie and I am about 16 years old. I came into rescue with a prolapsed cloaca which was repaired by an FPR vet. I did prolapse again recently (1.5 years later) and had to have surgery again. It went really well and I have been given a clean bill of health! My foster family says I am small for a U2 – they also say I am very social. I love to be in the same room with my foster family, even if I am just hanging out on my cage. I do tend to call for you if I can’t see you, but I quiet down when I realize where you are. I love to have my head scritched and I like to press my face against the cage to get scritches when you pass by. My foster family says I am really sweet and that I like men and women, although men seem to be my favorite. I do have a large vocabulary, I love to say "Hi Jolie!" in the morning when my cage is uncovered. I do love eating and I like pellets, vegetables, fruits and healthy nuts. My favorites are apples and bananas! I don’t mind other birds, cats, or dogs, just please be careful if other species of animals are around so that I remain safe and unharmed. I would really like to meet you very soon. When will you be coming for a visit?
