Only Maine Coons Rescue
Donny is a very handsome boy who is between 10 -12 years old. We rescued him from a high kill shelter in NY, just in time. They shelter scheduled him for euthanasia because he was not social and was sick.
Once brought into foster care, it was determined that he just needed some medical attention and lots of love. Donny is now a healthy and happy kitty.
Donny did not trust humans at all when he first came into foster care. We think he had some bad experiences with them in the past. He has slowly but surely come around, allowing petting, grooming and picking up, he will even allow kisses from his foster mom!
Donny has found his voice! He loves to talk to his foster mom. He has started following her everywhere she goes. And he likes to sit on her computer desk while she works. Donny will be a treasured addition to any family.
Donny will do better in a home with no other cats, he seems to do fine with dogs.

At OMC! (Only Maine Coons Rescue) we are a group of volunteers with a passion to save Maine Coon/Maine Coon Mix Cats/Kittens. Each of us has an important part to play in the running of this rescue. Volunteering in our spare time to do whatever we can to save these beautiful cats from situations including being unwanted, facing euthanasia, or coming from a bad home situation. We work hard to find each and every "Coonie" the best possible "furrever" home.
OMC is composed of a network of foster homes. While we work to find our cats the "purrfect" home, we bring them into our homes. We nurture and care for them as if they were our own. Then when the time comes, we let them go to their new "furrever" home. This is always a bittersweet time for the foster parents, but then the next cat that needs saving comes along, and we do it all over again. Saving one "Coonie" at a time keeps us going strong.
We are network of foster homes. Once approved, a potential adopter may go to the foster home to meet the cat/kittens they are interested in.
An application is received and processed, a summary is written up from that process, the entire group votes on that applicant. IF they meet all our criteria they will be approved.
Criteria Vet reference, personal (non family) reference.
If approved, and the adopter has found a cat from our pool, they must be approved by the foster mom/dad. If approved an adoption agreement is completed, spay/neuter contract if it's a kitten that is too young to be spay/neutered. Donation is made.
fees: Each Cat/Kitten(s) will be fully vetted. Vetting includes the following vaccines, FVRCP, Rabies, Combo Tested Negative, and Spaying or Neutering. Sometimes our kittens are adopted before they are old enough to spay or neuter. (In this case it is up to the adopter to pay for the Spaying or Neutering).
- Kittens, under 1 year old spayed/neutered will be $200.00.
- Kittens, under 1 year old (Not) spayed/neutered will be $115.00 and
(Require a prepaid agreement before adoption).
- Adult Cats, 1 - 10 years old will be $150.00.
- Purebred Cats Any Age with papers will be $225.00.
- Senior Cats, 11 + years old: (Price will vary depending on age/health, please ask your Adoption Coordinator).
OMC! (Only Maine Coons Rescue) is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization. We are a 100% volunteer-run/breed-specific rescue group that specializes in the Maine Coon Cat breed. We rescue Maine Coon Cat/Kitten mixes from shelters and unwanted situations. On occasion, we rescue purebred (PB) Maine Coon Cat/Kitten(s). This means that they have papers registering them as a purebred cat. In addition all of our cats are lovingly cared for in Foster homes until they are placed into their “furrever” homes.
