EMMA's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

EMMA's Story...
EMMA is a wonderful female Yellow Lab mix. She is somewhere around the 1 ½ year young mark and around 48 pounds. She is a very loving and calm dog indoors and then, when let out to play, she goes wide open! She enjoys playing with other dogs and interacts well. She may be frightened of storms because the flash on the camera scared her a bit. She is presently in the CAMP CANINE PROGRAM and when she has completed the program, she will be an AKC Good Citizen who knows basic commands (sit, stay, down) and other skills that she will need to interact politely with humans and other dogs. EMMA is fully vetted, spayed, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. If you are interested in meeting this special girl, please contact the Humane Society of Oldham County Dog Adoption Coordinator, Lisanne, at 502-795-7151 or email to: lisannehsoc@att.net!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

EMMA, a LaGrange Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in LaGrange, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in LaGrange.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in LaGrange already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a LaGrange breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in LaGrange paves the way for another one to be saved.
