Herbie's Story...
Are you ready to add some optimism to your life? Then take a closer look at Herbie:

Hi I’m Herbie the Love Bug and I’m looking for a forever home. I’m a people-pleaser, attentive and will do anything I can to make you happy. I’ll shake your hand, cuddle and give you kisses. I’m calm, sweet and gentle, but I also like to play and I like other dogs, too. I came to NorCal after having been a stray that was mauled by other dogs --injured I ended up at the shelter and no one claimed me. I’m happy to say that I’m feeling much better now and I’m excited to be looking for a forever home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Herbie, a Sacramento Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
