Cookie was found in Ivanhoe. The family who found her and one other canine companion placed a found ad in the local paper with no results. The foster family noticed Cookie is a small dog with a big dog personality. Ready to love and be loved. Full of life and with some help learning basic commands she will make a great lap dog and playmate. Oh....she loves to go riding in the car!!!
Cookie is a bit on the dominate side so she will need to be watched when introducing her to new companions. Other then that she has been a sweetheart of a girl and will make a very good family watch dog with the right guidance.
As with any new companion, it is wise to spend good quality time with them and let them explore their new surrounding while you set the boundaries. It is also good to make sure they have a 'special' area they can escape to when company comes. This will make both you and your companion have a much better relationship.
Love of Animals will screen potential adoption parents to ensure the companion WILL NOT be a fighting dog.
