Meow! My name is Jack
|Breed:||Domestic Shorthair||Color:||Black (All)||Age:||Adult|
I am already neutered, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, and declawed.
Jack is a 4-paw declaw. He is a quiet fellow and while not necessarily a "lap"cat, he likes to be near you. While he might be tolerant of small children, he seems to prefer quieter surroundings. He would probalby just find a quite place to hide if things were too rowdy for him. Jack has had problems in the past with constipation but is and can be diet controlled. He is on a prescription high fiber diet and has done well for several months. Jack is staying at the Feline Boutique and Country Club. Heartland Cats and the Feline Boutique and Country Club share the same phone number. Jack qualifies for our Senior Companion Program. Check it out at www.heartlandcats.org
More information about Heartland Cats
The purpose of the Heartland Cats is to work with the community, local shelters, rescue groups and veterinary offices to take in cats that might otherwise be running out of options due to medical problems and/or space constraints.
We are a "no kill" shelter concentrating our efforts on the older cats, as these are least likely to be adopted. In order to place these animals in loving homes, we have developed our Senior Companion program. You can read about this program at ww.heartlandcats.org.
Since we work with area shelters and rescues, we do not normally accept surrenders or younger cats.
At address provided
We prefer you come to our shelter to meet our cats. There is a form you will need to complete and should you decide on a cat there may be a 24 to 48 hour wait period. We like to make sure the cat gets a final health check prior to leaving the shelter. There is an adoption fee for those cats not placed through our Senior Companion Program. We reserve the right to deny adoption privileges at our sole and absolute discretion for any disclosed or undisclosed reason.
