Bella White's Story...

Hi! My name is Bella. I am about 5 years old. My foster mom calls me Bella Wella. She is a little goofy, but I don't mind and just smile and let her. People always tell me that I have the most gorgeous blue eyes. I feel lucky, because they say that white Great Danes with blue eyes have sight and hearing problems. I can see and hear really well...especially when you have TREATS! Boy, I love treats. It takes me a little bit to warm up to new people, because they scare me. I might bark a little, bit but at the same time, I will want you to pet me. So don’t worry, I’ll come around!  Once I warm up to you, I LUUUV to cuddle and follow you around the house. Sometimes if you ignore me, I will paw you a couple of times, so that you will pet me again....ya know, just so you will not forget about me! I really just need a lot of love. I am a very sweet and gentle girl...well, except when you want me to take a bath. I do not really like baths..they hurt my feelings, and one time I got my foster mom all wrapped up in the leash. She just laughed. I have never had an accident in the house, so that makes up for my bath phobia, doesn't it?? I love my doggy door and am pretty self-sufficient, I would say!

I am ashamed to admit that I do have a little trouble with other dogs…they scare me!  So I truly do need to be an only dog.  But NMSGDR is working with me on that.  However my foster mom says that some families are looking for just one dog, so that would be just perfect for me!!  All  know is that I just need folks that are going to love on me and let me cuddle with them as much as possible, though I do just fine at home alone during the day.  I would venture to say that I’m pretty much a low maintenance girl, as long as you don’t make me go on many outings, because I’m a home body.  I can just be your at-home love bug.  Does that sound good to you???

About North Mississippi Great Dane Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

It is our mission….

To assist Danes who, for whatever reason, find themselves without a family or home:

* in finding the love and stability that they had and have now lost, or may have never known before;
* in locating the perfect companion, who will in turn give to them as much affection, loyalty and support as the Dane will instinctively give;
* by giving those less fortunate Danes the positive reinforcement, teaching, and encouragement that they may need to overcome the life they may have once known;
* by providing the health services (including spay/neuter) to ensure the long, successful, healthy life of every Dane who come through NMSGDR; and
* by introducing the Dane to the public and providing the education and knowledge to create informed, healthy, lifetime adoptions.

We love our Danes and are honored to be loved by them. Our lives are truly bettered by them being in it.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We set up pet meeting events independently. If you want to meet one of our available Danes, just flip us an email and a NMSGDR rep will make herself/himself available for you!

Our Adoption Process...

As far as the process for adopting, you must fill out an application, and all references must be checked, and a home inspection conducted, for approval. Once approved, it's a matter of choosing a dog that is right for you. All of our Danes are fully vetted (including spay/neuter, shots, and microchip), as well as socialized, prior to adoption. Our adoption fees are as follows:
$375 puppies under 4 months; $325 4 months to 1 yr; $275 1-5yrs; $225 6+yrs; $175 mixes
