MEET MILO. We are amazed that we haven't been flooded by applications for this adorable playful little fellow. Milo a bundle of sweetness. Handsome three year old neutered male black and tan in need of new home. He has a heart of gold, is super affectionate once he gets to know you. As he gains your trust he looks at you like you're the greatest thing in the world. Milo is very loving with an exuberant spirit, but does not like to be startled. He is crate trained, loves car rides and walks and knows a few commands. He loves to snuggle and demands attentions. His owners are away from home too many hours, and to be happy, dachshunds need some attention. Milo would like to be your friend. Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria. Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We do not place same sex in a home and children need to be 10 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie). We prefer no smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc) Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember these are rescues, many were surrendered because of these issues. All our dogs are fully vetted, including all shots, wormer & flea protection, nails trimmed, the works. They'll come with a basket of goodies, food, toys and a custom made harness. The adoption fee is $395, no exceptions as this covers the cost to rescue them, vet them and take care of them while in our rescue. It also helps towards the care of other doxies that come with huge vet or dental bills or need extensive behavioral training.
