Theresa's Story...
There is something about Theresa's shy, sweet demeanor that just makes your heart melt. It could be the fact that once you begin to pet her, the shyness disappears as Theresa rolls around luxuriating in the sheer bliss of being pet. Or it could be the fact that once you begin petting her, it is only seconds before you hear a rumbling sound that you soon realize is Theresa purring contentedly as she basks in the warm glow of the affection you are giving her. Theresa may be shy at first, but she loves being handled and pet! She enjoys being held where she can snuggle up against you, rest her chin on your shoulder, and go limp with relaxation.

When Theresa isn't snuggling with her people she enjoys playing with feather wands and doesn't seem to mind the company of other friendly kitties.

Theresa is a recent rescue, so check back for updates as we get to know more about this affectionate little girl. Fallen in love already? Then go ahead and fill out an application today - www.azrescue.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Theresa, a Phoenix Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
