Argo's Story...
Meet Argo. He was born September 1, 2012 and weighs in at 4 lbs. He will probably get to be about 7 lbs when fully grown. Argo was injured in an incident with a large dog and he had to have a medical procedure done to fix his little nose. He is a now a very happy little boy and is healing well. He loves to go for walks with his foster family and sit on his foster mom’s lap to watch TV. If you are interested in giving Argo a forever home, please go to our website at www.RescueAChi.com and fill out an application. You can also check out our schedule of events where you can come and meet Argo in person.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Argo, a San Diego Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
