Bindi's Story...
Bindi is in a foster-to-adopt situation!

We couldn't help but notice this sweet baby girl on a recent trip to Animal Care and Control - every time our intake director walked by her cage, she would look soulfully upward with those liquid brown eyes and silently ask "Can you take me?" As time wore on and our slots filled up, Bindi resorted to a louder way of asking, and her bark grabbed our attention! Luckily for her, she chose the right time and completed our transfer group for the day. Way to go, Bindi girl!

This shy gal is currently getting used to life in our iso facility and learning to trust her people again. Check back soon for her updated bio!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bindi, a Chicago Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Collie for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Collie dog from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Collie breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
