Experienced Cat Owners Only...

Luke was rescued as a stray kitten (6-8 months old) from an unfriendly neighborhood behind a supermarket.  He was fostered for quite some time in an overcrowded foster home where he did not get any individualized attention.  He is now about 5 years old.

Luke is one of my project cats that has progressed much these past few months to the point where he might be ready for another forever home or foster home.  He lets me hold him/pet him and give him love during tuna time on my kitchen floor.  Other times when I approach him he is not so welcoming, but I love him anyway.   However, I have many other project kitties and I know I cannot keep them all, so for now, Luke is available for adoption and as he is a very beautiful cat, there might be someone out there that will fall in love with him too... even though he will most likely never be a lap cat nor a snuggler.

Could you love this handsome guy?

NOTE: Luke is semi-feral, and needs a VERY patient person to love him. (No Kids) He would need to be kept in a small room to bond with you for quite some time before allowed in the rest of the house as he would hide and never be seen if he is given too much freedom too soon.

About Our Rescue Group...
We seek to rescue the abandoned, the unwanted, the unloved - the cats that need us.

- To care for and provide a loving, cage free home for cats awaiting adoption.

- To reduce euthanasia in overcrowded shelters by taking in cats that need more TLC.

- To educate the public about proper and responsible care of domestic companion animals.

Kitty Colony was founded in Lancaster County, PA.

As volunteers for various rescues, we began to rescue and foster ferals and adoptables in need of special care and attention - we especially try to take needy cats and kittens from shelters where they would otherwise be euthanized.

Kitty Colony has branched out since first beginning its adoption program in Jenkintown, PA and now encompasses Ephrata and Lancaster as well.

We have several foster homes and our home base for the Lancaster area is in Ephrata, PA.

Wish List:

FOSTER HOMES!
Funds for Supplies (Food, Litter, Medical Supplies)

Come Meet Our Pets...
We operate out of foster homes - most of which are not open to the public, but we are working to open more foster homes to visitors in the near future.

For the present we meet by appointment only at local petsmarts in Lancaster, Willow Grove and Jenkintown.
