Forrest's Story...
I'm Forrest and I LOOOOOOVE toys.... I mean I LOVE them! I love people, I love to play, I love being a big silly boy! I am about 1 - 2 years old and I am healthy and ready for my FORever home. My foster mom wanted me to mention that I am housetrained AND cratetrained!! I am current on all my vaccines, neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative and current on heartworm and flea prevention. All I need now is a FORever family! I would love to go with you hiking, walking, running, camping, or swimming - you name it, I am game. The only thing you should know about me is that I prefer female dogs, not a fan of the male dogs... If you are interested in bringing me home to be part of your family, please email the group at info@FORrescue.net today! Forrest is being fostered in Huntsville, AL

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Forrest, a Homewood Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Homewood, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Homewood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homewood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homewood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homewood paves the way for another one to be saved.
