Shena's Story...
Shena was rescued with her lovely sister Sandie. These girls are incredibly SWEET and overly AFFECTIONATE! They are cute to watch at playtime - batting the mice around, spinning the ball in its track, chasing each other up the carpet condo and running around for exercise. These kittens will crave your attention - they love to be picked up, held, cuddled and kissed. They sleep in bed with their foster mom at night. Their fur coats are SILKY soft. It would be wonderful if they can get adopted together since they are close, but are available separately. You will LOVE them, honestly! If you are interested in adopting this bonded pair of sisters, stop by the Leesburg Petsmart on Saturdays 11am-3pm to see them.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shena, a Reston Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Reston, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Reston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Reston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Reston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Reston paves the way for another one to be saved.
