Gabby's Story...
Hi, my name is Gabby. My foster family named me that because I was the first to "talk" when they brought me and my friend home from the shelter. I'm very good at getting your attention if you forget I'm around. My mom says I talk with my whole body, wiggling all over when you talk to me or when the family comes home from being gone, you know I'm so glad to have you home. I love to shower you with puppy kisses and curl up in your lap to take a nap. I'm potty pad trained and learning to go outside thru our family doggie door, I love to play outside with my doggie friends at our house too. I've seen the family cat, but she's not interested in playing with us. I love the kids that come to visit our house too. If you take me home with you, I promise you will be well loved by me with plenty of affection. Please remember that puppies are a lot of work, but we are well worth it. Love, Gabby ** Gabby is spayed, current on all age appropriate vaccines, and microchipped. She is being fostered in Huntsville, AL. For an application, email info@FORrescue.net today. Her adoption fee is $225. ***

About Our Rescue Group...
Friends of Rescue is a certified 501(c)(3) organization consisting of volunteers who are devoted to saving shelter dogs that are in danger of euthanasia. Rural Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee shelters have a constant overflow of dogs, little funding, and limited space. Once the dogs arrive at the shelter, they have very little time. It is our goal to help save these adoptable dogs and adopt them out to loving families. Although our priorities are the retriever breeds, we are not limiting ourselves to retrievers because we know that there are many great dogs that need our help. We are NOT professional trainers or animal behaviorists; simply volunteers who are trying to save these dogs from euthanasia.
Our Adoption Process...
We have many wonderful dogs looking for FORever Homes!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gabby, a Marietta Beagle/Basset Hound puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Basset Hound for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Beagle/Basset Hound puppy from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Basset Hound breeders who help with Beagle/Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
