Emmett's Story...
Emmett is about 50 pounds and an absolute pleasure to have around. He adores meeting new dogs and immediately play bows followed by a game of chase or toy keep-a-way. Watching him gallop and be a goof with a dog friend is wonderful. He's fostered by a family with a four year old girl and she's his best buddy. Emmett is 100% house trained, does well on a leash, rides well in the car, and is always ready for a new adventure. He's an exceptionally adaptable dog, adjusting quickly to new situations and people. We can't find a single negative about him! We think his smile tells it all. If you'd like to meet him, please email and we'll connect you with his foster family and send you an application. Emmett is fostered in Huntsville, AL.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Emmett, a Homewood Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever for sale in Homewood, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Homewood.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homewood already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homewood breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homewood paves the way for another one to be saved.
