Darla's Story...
Darla is a very outgoing, energetic, and playful girl that has tons of energy and loves EVERYONE! She is very personable and greets everyone with her tail wagging so hard her whole hind end swings back and forth. She was dumped in a roadside ditch with her litter of 10 puppies back in January by owners who no longer wanted the responsibility of their care. She doesn't hold a grudge though and has maintained her love of folks through it all. She has now been completely vetted, including spay and all shots, and is looking for a new family with someone who will not get tired of her and wants a dog that can hang with their active lifestyle. She is an exceptionally friendly dog and loves to wrestle with other canine friends or run and explore with kids. The hound side of her leads her to follow her nose, sometimes into places that aren't safe, so a fenced yard is a must and she has enough energy and love for life, that she would not be a good choice for someone who lives in an apartment or who has no outside space. She rides great in the car and sits like a lady while she watches the scenery pass by. Overall, she would make a wonderful addition to a family with children who wanted a buddy to romp with or active adults who were looking for a running partner. She is patiently waiting for a place of her own and new people to fall in love with!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Darla, a Hamburg Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog for sale in Hamburg, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Hamburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hamburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hamburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hamburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
