Peaches's Story...
Meet Peaches, a young (between 2 and 4 year old) princess. Peaches came to AHS from California and was a pretty sick little girl. Now she is healthy and happy and ready for her forever home. She loves laps of all sizes and shapes even if it is occupied by other dogs. She is laid back and easy going, likes to play for a while and come back to your lap. She rides well in the car, and loves to go on walks. She even goes to work with her foster mom where it is her job to greet customers and get attention when she can. Peaches weighs about 13lbs. Peaches is very shy until she gets to know you then you will be her best friend. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Peaches, a Bellingham Chihuahua/Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Dachshund for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Chihuahua/Dachshund dog from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Dachshund breeders who help with Chihuahua/Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
