Cyrus's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Cyrus's Story...
Cyrus is a 4 year old Black Labrador Retriever.
(Currently 50 lbs - Ideal weight - 80 lbs.)

He is heart worm positive and does need knee surgery. He has been neglected, starved and abused.

Cyrus is a wonderful dog who is great with everyone he meets. You cannot help but feel for this puppy. He is adorable and kind and has a sweet temperament. Despite his past he is kind to all people.

UPDATE: He has gained about 15 pounds so far (3/2013) and is doing amazing - We are so thrilled to see him fill out and thrive. Now we just need his knee fixed and for him to go thru the heart worm treatment. SPONSORSHIP needed for this great guy. Please inquire on how to help.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cyrus, a Orland Park Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Orland Park, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Orland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Orland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Orland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Orland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
