Charlie's Story...
Meet Charlie!

Charlie has a personality just as adorable as his face. He loves people especially cuddling and kissing them. You can scoop him up and cradle him like a baby or even carry him on your hip like a kid (he loves it) as long as he's with you, he's happy. Charlie does extremely well with all dogs, we actually use him to test new dogs because Charlie gets along so well with everyone. We can't describe how sweet he is!

We're unsure of Charlies past, he came into an overcrowded shelter as a stray but he's frightened around strangers and can be nippy. He's gotten so much better from what he was but is definitely a rescue dog in every sense of the word. He needs someone to understand with time he can improve even more than he has now, but probably wouldn't be good placed in a home that has company over all the time. When his foster mom has people over, she simply asks them to ignore them or puts him away until he's gone.

This little boy may need a little extra love but, give him a chance and he'll give it back ten-fold.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlie, a Manassas Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Manassas, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Manassas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Manassas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Manassas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Manassas paves the way for another one to be saved.
