Peanut's Story...
Peanut is new to rescue! This sweet little girl came to us because her prior owner is terminally ill and is no longer able to care for her.

She is crate trained, house trained, low key, low maintenance. She is good with cats, children and small dogs. Large dogs are a bit scary for her and she does not like them. She is estimated around 4 years of age and is around 15 lbs.

Please email us at bonniebluerescue@gmail.com if you are interested in fostering or adopting Peanut! Our adoption fee is $300. $75 of the adoption fee is refundable if proof of completion of obedience class is demonstrated within 3 months of adoption. Each of our pups goes to their forever family up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered, microchipped, current on flea/tick/heartworm preventative.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Peanut, a Richmond Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Dachshund/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
