Taft's Story...
Meet Taft, a lab mix who looks like a hound! He is 11 weeks old, and weighs 18 pounds. Taft is a friendly pup with a calm manner. Taft is new to Adopt a Pet and still settling in to his foster home. We will update you as we learn more!

We don't know anything about Taft's parents, so he needs to be adopted by someone willing to take pot luck in terms of his breed and how big he grows! Since he's still young, Taft needs a family where someone is home part or all day to get him potty-trained as well as keep him exercised and socialized.

You can meet Taft at Wilmette Pet Center, 625 Green Bay Road, anytime during store hours 7 days a week. (847-251-6750). Although you may want to adopt him on the spot, please know that you will have to go through the adoption process first.

Taft's adoption fee of $325 includes: vet exam, DHAPP (distemper combo) vaccination, bordetella vaccination, flea & tick preventative, deworming, microchip and neuter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Taft, a Mt. Prospect Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Mt. Prospect, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Mt. Prospect.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mt. Prospect already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mt. Prospect breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mt. Prospect paves the way for another one to be saved.
