Lakota's Story...
Lakota was surrendered because his owners had no time for him anymore. He is a very handsome boy and Lakota is also very smart. He can shake, sit, and play dead! He loves company and gets along well with cats and most other dogs. He is already housetrained and great in the house. Lakota loves to play with his toys and he loves exploring new things and taking long walks. Lakota is already neutered so he can start his new life the same day he's adopted! He will also be vaccinated, dewormed and come with much more! Lakota really deserves another chance, please consider him when choosing to adopt a new friend!

Act quickly to adopt Lakota. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lakota, a Cold Lake Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky for sale in Cold Lake, or seeking a Husky dog from a breeder in Cold Lake.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cold Lake already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cold Lake breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky breeders who help with Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cold Lake paves the way for another one to be saved.
