Bella's Story...
This tiny, compact girl is named Bella (A19135086)! Bella is an ~8-10 year old American Pit Bull Terrier who weighs a whopping 37 pounds! Bella's story might be a sad one, but don't let her fool you; she is one HAPPY, social lady who is always up to meeting someone new. When she sees you, her tail spins around like a helicopter propeller! Bella came to the shelter because her beloved owner passed away. Bella spent some time living in her home by herself until a nice friend came looking for her! Bella spent just a couple days in the shelter, then was lucky enough to go into foster care. Besides being a little thin and having some thinning hair on her belly because of living on her own for some time, she is otherwise is in great health and has a great personality to match.

Not only is she adorable, but Bella LOVES people. She will gladly curl up next to you on the couch, wiggle around on her back for belly rubs and when you scratch her chest, she'll give you a tiny half smile! Bella has done well when meeting all types of new people! While her favorite thing to do is snuggle, she's also always up for an adventure with her family and is great in the car!

Bella currently lives with 2 other large dogs and gets along with them famously! She loves to cuddle up with her senior foster brother on the couch, but also loves to romp around in the yard with her younger foster brother. Bella also currently lives with 2 cats which she's likely never done before. She's still getting used to them and thinks they're very interesting. She'd likely do best in a home without cats or will need a proper slow introduction so the can get used to her new feline siblings without stressing them out. Great news! Bella is completely housebroken and has yet to have an accident in her new foster home! Though she likely wouldn't need to be crated when you're at work, Bella doesn't mind napping in her crate.

Some of Bella's favorite things are squeaky toys, treats and comfy beds! She already knows all of her basic commands, including "sit" and "paw" but is very food motivated and can't wait to learn new party tricks if there are yummy treats involved! Besides, whoever said "you can't teach an old dog new tricks" clearly never adopted one!

Bella may be a little older, but she's healthy and happy and has years old love and laughter to provide her forever family. Because she's so petite and walks well on the leash, she would do great in any type of home whether it be in the city or on the country-side. She'd do well in both an active or quiet home. Bella is already spayed, current on vaccinations and will be microchipped before going to her new home. Bella's adoption fee is just $40 through ACCT Philly! Interested in meeting this sweetie? Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bella, a Philadelphia Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Philadelphia, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Philadelphia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Philadelphia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Philadelphia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Philadelphia paves the way for another one to be saved.
