Peachy (foster care)'s Story...
Peachy (A15913287)is a female pit bull terrier mix who was surrendered to the shelter because her owner did not have the time to care for her. This beautiful 50+lb girl has a beautiful apricot coat and will be spayed prior to leaving the shelter. Peachy is pretty easy to walk for a bigger girl and she is very nervous here at the shelter. Peachy did well on her dog meets, though, and other dogs seemed to make her feel a bit more confident. If you've got dogs, bring them down to meet Peachy, we want to make sure she gets the best new family she can ask for. Peachy should not live with cats and will also need to meet your children. Please come meet lovely Peachy today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Peachy (foster care), a Philadelphia Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Philadelphia, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Philadelphia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Philadelphia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Philadelphia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Philadelphia paves the way for another one to be saved.
