Henry (foster)'s Story...
This extra-large hunk of love is Henry! He was surrendered to a local high volume shelter because he was too big for the small child in the home. We find this big boy to be a big lover and a playful fellow. Henry is an adult in age, about 6 years old and will make your world complete. He could live with older children and likes other dogs too! Open your heart and home today- apply to foster or adopt Henry!

If you would like to adopt this dog, contact Sarah or Bonnie at Perfect Pooch at 610-337-7698 to make an appointment to meet him! All dogs fostered through Perfect Pooch receive FREE follow-up training and also a month of FREE boarding and daycare! Don't delay, call today!

The Delco SPCA is funded solely by adoption fees and donations. Adoption fees vary per animal, please call the Adoption Center and reference this animal's ID number in order to obtain accurate fee information. The petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed blend. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.

To foster or adopt this dog please call the Delaware County SPCA at 610-566-1370 during adoption hours. You may also email Adoptions@delcospca.org. Can't foster or adopt? Donate to help our homeless pets, www.delcospca.org/donate.

Our adoption requirements and a printable application form may be found here. All pets are altered, vaccinated and microchipped. Upon adoption you also get a new leash and collar, 10 days of free post-adoption veterinary care at the Center, a complimentary vet visit at a local participating veterinarian and a coupon for a free bag of food. Plus unconditional staff love and support!

Not ready to adopt yet? You can still guarantee the safety and well-being of any of our dogs or puppies by temporarily fostering one or more right in your own home. Visit our foster page to learn about the program. Then, email your application along with any questions to foster@delcospca.org for immediate review.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Henry (foster), a Media Mastiff dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mastiff for sale in Media, or seeking a Mastiff dog from a breeder in Media.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Media already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Media breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mastiff breeders who help with Mastiff rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Media paves the way for another one to be saved.
