My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Betsy... Betsy is a yorkie (maybe silky terrier). She weighs 11.4 lbs and is 8 years old. Betsy lived her whole life with one family until they passed away not to long ago. Another family tried to take her in but decided 3 dogs were too many. So we were called to help. We noticed when we got her this morning that she was walking kind of funny. So off to the vet she went for a check up. Needless to say we did not expect to find out that she needed major surgery!! Her hip was partially dislocated and she was in a lot of pain. The hip joint was almost completely gone and she had bone spurs developing. Since it was still in place they decided to go ahead and do surgery now hoping for a better and quicker recovery period. She also had a dental today. We feel so sorry for her. I am sure this was not in her plans today. Poor thing... Please say some prayers for her pain she was whining a lot tonight.
